Finance Accountant – SAP & Excel Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Finance Accountant to manage financial transactions, reporting and compliance. The role combines strong SAP expertise with advanced Excel analysis to support accurate accounting and strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Execute daily accounting transactions in SAP (GL, AP, AR) and ensure data integrity.
• Perform variance analysis between actuals and budgets, providing insights for cost control.
• Prepare and review bank, balance‑sheet and inter‑company reconciliations, ensuring audit readiness.
• Prepare and file statutory tax returns (VAT, withholding, corporate tax) in compliance with local regulations.
• Utilize advanced Excel functions to develop financial models, reports and dashboards.
• Provide financial insights to support decision‑making and maintain strong internal controls.
• Communicate financial information clearly in both English and Swahili.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Professional certification (ACCA, CPA or equivalent) is an advantage.
• Fluency in English and Swahili.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of SAP ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data modeling).
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience in variance analysis and reconciliations.
• Knowledge of tax regulations and filing procedures.
