Finance Business Partner – MCV

About the role

The Finance Business Partner – MCV will support the maritime container vessel (MCV) business by delivering financial analysis, controlling receivables, and driving profitability insights. You will act as the finance representative in operational meetings and collaborate closely with commercial stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct vessel‑by‑vessel P&L and variance analysis, providing actionable insights.
• Implement revenue trend and idle‑fleet red‑flag analysis, and review quarterly initiatives.
• Own receivable control, recovery processes, balance‑sheet reviews and cash‑flow sufficiency analysis.
• Design short‑run financial models for pricing decisions and benchmark competition.
• Review charter parties and contracts, highlighting clauses requiring executive sign‑off and identifying revenue‑maximisation opportunities.
• Improve billing efficiency, strengthen order‑to‑cash and credit policies, and enforce robust financial controls.
• Lead commercial and cost‑excellence projects such as bunkering and port‑charge reviews.
• Support budgeting, quarterly re‑forecasting, and preparation of performance dashboards for senior finance leadership.

Required profile

• Qualification in finance with 2–3 years of relevant experience.
• Strong financial acumen, solid understanding of accounting principles and analytics.
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with Power BI and other data‑analysis tools.
• Experience in financial modelling, contract management and cash‑flow analysis.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
