Finance Compliance Lead – Middle East (Audit, SOX, Reporting)

About the role

This position offers an exciting opportunity to join NOV’s Middle East Finance team as the deputy to the Finance Compliance Manager. You will play a key leadership role across statutory audit governance, financial reporting compliance, SOX, internal controls, tax, transfer pricing and regulatory compliance for multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Finance Compliance Manager in leading the regional Finance Compliance team across Middle East jurisdictions.
• Provide leadership to supervisors and team members, ensuring clear ownership, accountability and timely delivery of compliance activities.
• Act as escalation point for audit, compliance, control and reporting issues, resolving matters promptly.
• Lead planning, coordination and monitoring of statutory audits, standardising processes, templates and timetables.
• Review and support preparation of statutory financial statements and disclosures in line with IFRS, local regulations and NOV policies.
• Oversee the regional SOX and internal‑controls programme, including quarterly reviews, remediation tracking and consolidation activities.
• Collaborate with senior Finance, Tax, Legal and Corporate stakeholders, as well as external and group auditors.

Required profile

• Significant experience in finance compliance, audit governance and SOX/internal‑controls environments.
• Proven ability to lead and develop high‑performing compliance teams.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, working with finance, tax, legal and corporate functions.
• Experience with statutory audit coordination and financial reporting under IFRS.
