Finance Director – Reporting & Budgeting

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Finance Director to lead Group‑level financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and FP&A activities in a large, asset‑intensive organization. The role reports to senior management and provides strategic financial insight to the Board.

Key responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual management reporting and performance reviews.
• Oversee the annual budgeting process and long‑term financial planning cycle.
• Develop and maintain robust forecasting models and financial planning frameworks.
• Analyse actual performance against budget, forecast and strategic objectives, providing variance analysis and risk identification.
• Partner with business leaders to develop budgets, financial plans and scenario analyses for major projects and investments.
• Monitor profitability, cost performance, capital expenditure, working capital and cash generation.
• Establish and strengthen financial reporting controls, governance and process standardisation.
• Support finance transformation, reporting automation and ERP/BI initiatives.
• Lead and develop a high‑performing finance reporting and planning team.

Required profile

• 15+ years of progressive finance experience, including senior finance leadership roles.
• Strong background in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and FP&A within large multinational, asset‑intensive organisations.
• Industry experience in Oil & Gas or Automotive is strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to present financial performance and recommendations to CFO, CEO, Executive Committee and Board.
• Experience managing multiple business units, subsidiaries or legal entities.
• Professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CPA, CMA; MBA or Master’s in Finance is advantageous.
