Finance Executive - General Cashier / Paymaster

About the role

The Luxury Collection is hiring a full-time, non-management Finance Executive (General Cashier / Paymaster) at its Ajman Saray resort in Ajman, UAE. The role covers cash handling, record keeping, bank reconciliation and period-end closing, with a focus on accuracy, security and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Check figures, postings and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy and proper codes.
• Organize, secure and maintain files, records, cash and cash equivalents in line with policies and procedures.
• Record, store, access and analyze computerized financial information, and classify, code and summarize data in journals, ledgers and computers.
• Complete period-end closing procedures and reports as specified.
• Audit cashier banks periodically according to SOPs, and document, maintain and act on cash variances.
• Maintain, distribute and record petty cash, cashier banks and contracts.
• Act as liaison between the property and the armored car service or primary banking institution.
• Take part in internal, external and regulatory audits and ensure compliance with SOPs.
• Follow company policies, keep proprietary information confidential, protect company assets and guest and coworker privacy, and speak clearly and professionally.
• Perform other reasonable duties requested by supervisors.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent preferred.
• At least 1 year of related work experience preferred.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to move and lift objects up to 10 pounds without assistance.
