Finance Manager – Accounting Operations

About the role

Silal, a leading agri‑food player in the UAE and part of ADQ, is seeking a Finance Manager to oversee daily accounting operations and ensure accurate financial reporting. You will be responsible for maintaining internal controls, managing the trial balance, and supporting month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closing processes.

Key responsibilities

• Record and review all journal entries, adjusting entries, accruals and reconciliations on a timely basis.
• Ensure compliance with UAE financial regulations and internal policies.
• Manage trial‑balance analysis, ledger maintenance and preparation of financial statements.
• Establish and enforce a chart of accounts and accounting procedures.
• Identify and implement improvements to the monthly closing process.
• Oversee inventory accounting, transfers, counts and related warehouse policies.
• Coordinate external audit activities and prepare audit documentation.
• Review vendor invoices, support contracts and procurement documentation.
• Process payroll, end‑of‑service payments and collaborate with HR on calculations.
• Administer insurance, capitalization and fixed‑asset claims, ensuring proper ledger entries.
• Prepare and file VAT returns in accordance with local tax law.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Professional certification such as CPA or CFA is advantageous.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience, including at least 4 years in a managerial finance role.
• Strong knowledge of UAE financial regulations, VAT, and audit processes.
