Finance Manager – Built Environment Consultancy

About the role

We are seeking a Finance Manager to lead the finance function of a well‑established consultancy operating in the built environment sector across the UAE. You will shape financial strategy, support business growth, and work closely with senior leaders on high‑impact projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in line with applicable standards and regulations.
• Develop and maintain reporting frameworks for analysis, forecasting and executive decision‑making.
• Monitor project profitability, utilisation, operating margins and produce detailed cost‑analysis dashboards.
• Lead the annual budgeting process, long‑term forecasting and rolling forecasts that incorporate project risks.
• Oversee project accounting, revenue recognition, work‑in‑progress tracking and profitability analysis.
• Manage cash flow, liquidity, working capital, treasury functions and collections.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT, corporate tax, labour regulations and other statutory requirements.
• Lead external audits, internal controls and risk mitigation strategies.
• Provide financial insights for strategic initiatives, investments and partnership opportunities.
• Mentor and develop a small finance team and represent finance in senior leadership discussions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in finance leadership within a consultancy or project‑driven environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate data into actionable business recommendations.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
