Finance Manager

About the role

The Finance Manager will lead budgeting, cost control and management information systems (MIS) for a retail concept operating across multiple territories. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will ensure financial targets are met and support strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in formulating corporate strategy, setting annual targets and revenue projections for each store.
• Analyse monthly budgets, monitor income and expenses versus budget, and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare, review and present MIS reports, ensuring data accuracy and timely delivery.
• Identify cost‑reduction opportunities and evaluate feasibility of new projects, including capital expenditure plans.
• Oversee accounting operations, online transaction processing, supplier payments and reconciliation.
• Supervise internal audits, payroll validation, overtime and incentive payments.
• Implement controls for debtor invoices, cash certificates and banking transactions.
• Represent the concept in financial matters with banks, auditors and other external parties.
• Train team members on new procedures and safeguard concept assets.

Required profile

• Proven experience in finance management within a retail environment.
• Strong background in budgeting, cost control and cash‑flow monitoring.
• Hands‑on experience with MIS reporting and internal audit processes.
• Ability to evaluate financial implications of new projects and capital expenditures.
• Excellent attention to detail and compliance orientation.
