Finance Manager

About the role

A Finance Manager is needed to oversee the company's financial and accounting operations, from day-to-day reporting and budgeting to UAE tax compliance, payroll and team leadership. The role covers financial analysis, cash flow and banking oversight, and commercial and contract management.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily financial and accounting operations, prepare monthly, quarterly and annual statements, monitor performance and profitability, and close accounts on time.
• Prepare annual budgets and forecasts, track spending against budget, identify cost savings and support strategic planning.
• Manage cash flow, working capital and liquidity; monitor accounts payable and receivable; maintain bank relationships and oversee banking transactions and reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with UAE Corporate Tax, VAT and FTA regulations, prepare and submit tax returns, and coordinate with auditors and tax consultants.
• Supervise monthly payroll and salary payments through the UAE Wage Protection System, and account for employee benefits, gratuity and leave salary.
• Develop financial policies and internal controls, coordinate annual audits, and identify financial risks.
• Review commercial proposals, contracts and pricing, analyse project costs and profitability, and monitor client invoicing and collections.
• Lead the Finance and Accounts team, drive ERP and accounting software use, and improve financial processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field.
• Professional qualification such as CA, ACCA, CPA or CMA preferred.
• Minimum 7-10 years of finance and accounting experience, including at least 3-5 years in a managerial position.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT, Corporate Tax and financial regulations; previous UAE experience strongly preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems such as Odoo, SAP or Oracle.
• Experience in budgeting, financial reporting, cash flow management and internal auditing.
• Strong financial analysis, leadership, communication and negotiation skills, and accuracy and confidentiality.
