Finance Manager – Regional (UAE, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia)

About the role

Local is a QR‑based payments platform serving the hospitality sector across the UAE, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. We are looking for a Finance Manager to establish and drive financial operations for the business in these markets, combining strategic oversight with hands‑on accounting.

Key responsibilities

• Own financial reporting for UAE, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia entities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Manage day‑to‑day accounting, including journal entries, reconciliations and record‑keeping.
• Prepare and file all required tax returns (VAT and corporate tax) in compliance with local regulations.
• Ensure compliance with financial, regulatory and statutory requirements in each jurisdiction.
• Manage cash flow, liquidity and working capital across multiple entities.
• Coordinate with external accountants, auditors and advisors regionally.
• Establish and maintain financial controls, systems and processes.
• Support the founding team with financial analysis for strategic decisions.
• Drive cost discipline and efficient use of capital.

Required profile

• Professional accounting qualification (CA, ACCA, CMA or equivalent).
• 3+ years of experience in finance and accounting roles.
• Strong technical accounting foundation and experience managing full‑set books across multiple entities.
• Experience with tax filings and regulatory compliance (VAT, corporate tax); GCC experience is a strong plus.
• Background in fintech, payments, hospitality or fast‑growing startups is preferred.
• Proven ability to operate in lean, high‑growth environments with full ownership of the finance function.
