Finance Manager – UAE

About the role

Airwallex is seeking a Finance Manager for its UAE entity to own all finance and regulatory reporting responsibilities. You will be the primary liaison with the Central Bank of the UAE, ensuring timely and accurate compliance with all prudential and financial reporting obligations.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the designated finance contact with the CBUAE for regulatory returns, ad‑hoc information requests and supervisory meetings.
• Own the monthly close for the UAE entity, including journal entries, balance‑sheet reconciliations and P&L reviews before submission to FP&A.
• Prepare financial performance, capital and cash commentary for board packs and management reporting.
• Lead the annual statutory audit under IFRS and coordinate with external auditors and advisors.
• Oversee UAE corporate tax and VAT compliance in partnership with the Tax team and external advisors.
• Support new product launches by ensuring correct reporting structure and regulatory submissions.
• Drive process improvement and automation across UAE finance functions.

Required profile

• Professional finance or accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, CA, CFA or equivalent).
• 8+ years of finance experience, including senior‑level roles in financial services or a regulated environment.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, regulatory capital requirements and prudential reporting for payment service providers in the UAE.
• Direct experience engaging with a financial regulator, preferably the CBUAE.
• Proven ability to build and expand finance capabilities in a fast‑growing organisation.
