Financial Controller

About the role

Reporting to the Hospitality Finance Leader, the Financial Controller for TFG Restaurant Management LLC is responsible for the overall financial control, accounting operations, reporting and statutory compliance of the company’s restaurant portfolio across the United Arab Emirates.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain complete and accurate books of account for all F&B operations, including chart of accounts and financial reporting structure.
• Lead timely month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closing processes and review all balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Ensure proper recording, reconciliation and documentation of revenue, discounts, promotions, complimentary transactions and service charges.
• Oversee daily and monthly revenue verification, POS and PMS reconciliations, credit‑card settlements and cash collections.
• Investigate revenue variances, refunds, voids and unusual transactions, and ensure appropriate approvals.
• Coordinate with hotel finance leaders to standardise reporting, intercompany balances and finance processes.
• Control cash handling, banking requirements, cash‑flow forecasting and treasury activities.
• Manage accounts receivable, credit control, ageing analysis and collection actions.
• Supervise accounts payable, invoice verification, purchase order matching and supplier payments.
• Monitor inventory, cost of sales, wastage and support margin improvement initiatives.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, profit & loss statements, variance analysis and KPI reporting.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis for new initiatives and strategic decisions.
• Ensure compliance with UAE tax regulations and statutory reporting requirements.
