Financial Controller

About the role

Our client, a Norwegian‑owned technology group operating in Norway, the Netherlands, Singapore, Denmark and the UAE, is hiring its first dedicated Financial Controller. Reporting to the Group CFO, the role will own consolidation, close, audit and statutory reporting across the group.

Key responsibilities

• Manage multi‑entity, multi‑currency consolidation (NOK/USD), intercompany elimination and acquisition accounting.
• Oversee month‑end and year‑end close, ensuring balance‑sheet integrity and revenue recognition for a subscription software business.
• Lead external audit as the sole point of ownership and handle statutory filings in Norway, the Netherlands and Singapore.
• Prepare management reporting, budgeting/re‑forecasting, SaaS metrics (ARR, NRR/GRR) and cash‑flow reporting.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (CPA/ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with 5–8+ years post‑qualification experience and at least 3 years in a controller or group accountant role.
• Hands‑on experience building or running multi‑entity, multi‑currency consolidations and strong IFRS knowledge.
• Big Four or equivalent experience is beneficial.
• Advanced QuickBooks expertise.
• Proven ability to work proactively and accurately in a remote environment.
• Exposure to statutory requirements in Nordic countries, Singapore or the Netherlands is strongly preferred.
