Finishing Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Finishing Engineer to manage and coordinate interior fit‑out and finishing works across our developments in Dubai. The role will oversee site execution, quality, trade coordination and handover, ensuring that works comply with approved designs, project schedules and budgets.

Key responsibilities

• Manage finishing activities including ceilings, partitions, stone and tile works, painting, joinery, kitchens, wardrobes, doors, glass, metalwork, architectural features and FF&E coordination.
• Review IFC and shop drawings, specifications, BOQs and material schedules, identifying technical issues early.
• Monitor finishing work programmes against the master schedule and coordinate manpower, materials, subcontractors and sequencing.
• Ensure effective MEP coordination, service interfaces and clearance inspections before closing ceilings and partitions.
• Supervise subcontractors, monitor workmanship and compliance with drawings, method statements and quality standards.
• Review material submittals, samples and mock‑ups, track long‑lead items and verify deliveries.
• Conduct site inspections, manage inspection requests and enforce QA/QC procedures.
• Control material consumption, support progress measurement, variation assessment and value engineering.
• Maintain HSE compliance and manage snagging, defect rectification and handover documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years experience in finishing and fit‑out works on high‑rise residential, villa, hospitality, mixed‑use or commercial projects.
• At least 5 years managing interior finishing works in the UAE/GCC.
• Experience with a fit‑out company on premium or luxury developments preferred.
• Strong technical knowledge of finishing materials, installation methods, detailing and quality standards.
• Proven ability to interpret architectural and MEP drawings and coordinate trade interfaces.
• Excellent planning, subcontractor management, communication and problem‑solving skills with close attention to detail.
