Fire System Design Draftsman

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Design Draftsman to produce fire protection system drawings for projects in Abu Dhabi and Trivandrum. The role is full‑time, on‑site and involves close collaboration with engineers, project managers and multidisciplinary teams to ensure fire safety designs meet all specifications and standards.

Key responsibilities

• Create and revise detailed fire protection system layouts, schematics and elevations using CAD tools.
• Integrate fire system drawings with architectural and structural documents.
• Maintain accurate drawing records and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support design reviews, resolve technical drawing issues and suggest improvements to drafting practices.
• Coordinate with on‑site teams to ensure proper implementation of fire safety designs.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum five years of experience in fire system design drafting.
• Strong knowledge of fire protection codes such as NFPA, Civil Defence and local building regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail, spatial visualization and ability to read technical documents.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively on‑site.

Required skills

• Computer‑Aided Design (CAD) – AutoCAD or equivalent.
• Fire protection system drafting.
• Interpretation of architectural drawings.
• Knowledge of NFPA and Civil Defence codes.
