Firefighter – Emergency Response and Hazard Control

About the role

The Firefighter is responsible for protecting lives, property and the environment by responding to fire, gas releases, chemical spills and rescue incidents within the assigned premises. The role involves active fire suppression, rescue operations, first‑aid provision and routine maintenance of fire‑fighting equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Respond promptly to fire alarms, toxic‑gas detectors and emergency calls, executing fire‑suppression and rescue actions as directed by the squad leader.
• Perform basic first‑aid and artificial respiration for injured persons on scene, maintaining current knowledge of emergency medical procedures.
• Carry out fire‑fighting duties including ventilation, salvage, area inspection and post‑incident equipment reset.
• Conduct hazard‑control activities, support hot‑work standby duties and monitor safety zones during plant maintenance.
• Maintain, test and repair fire‑fighting, safety and emergency equipment, including hoses, breathing apparatus and fire trucks.

Required profile

• Physical fitness and ability to work in hazardous environments.

• Willingness to work in shifts and be on call for emergencies.
