Firefighter – Rescue, Fire Suppression & Hazard Control

About the role

The Firefighter is responsible for protecting lives, property and the environment by responding to fire, gas releases, chemical spills and rescue incidents within the assigned premises. The role involves active fire suppression, lifesaving operations, hazard control and routine maintenance of firefighting equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Respond promptly to fire alarms, toxic gas detectors and emergency calls.
• Perform rescue and lifesaving activities, including basic first‑aid and artificial respiration.
• Execute fire suppression techniques for oil fires, toxic gas releases, vehicle extrication and property fires.
• Control hazards, support evacuation procedures and monitor unsafe conditions during hot‑work and maintenance activities.
• Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, cleaning and painting of firefighting equipment, hoses, trucks and station facilities.
• Participate in regular training drills, fire prevention exercises and post‑incident area inspections.

Required profile

• Ability to work under pressure in emergency situations.
• Physical fitness to perform rescue, firefighting and equipment handling tasks.
• Strong awareness of safety protocols and hazard identification.
• Willingness to work in shifts and be on standby for emergencies.
