Flavourist – Sweet Goods & Beverages

About the role

Givaudan is seeking a Flavourist specialized in Sweet Goods and Beverages to create innovative flavours for leading food and drink brands across the Middle East. You will work within a highly experienced team, reporting to the Taste & Wellbeing Regional Technical Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new sweet goods and beverage flavours using the latest technologies, ingredient innovations and consumer insights.
• Collaborate with Science & Technology, Marketing, Application, Commercial and Sensory teams to apply new tools and drive innovation.
• Maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners, manage projects from brief to scale‑up, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Resolve production issues, handle customer complaints, and mentor junior flavour assistants and technologists.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry or Biology.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Flavourist, completed formal flavourist training.
• Proven flavour creation experience in both Sweet Goods and Beverages segments.
• Strong knowledge of raw materials, formulation, solvent and carrier systems, delivery systems, analytical methods and regulatory requirements.
• Expert palate and tasting skills; exposure to African or Middle‑East markets is a plus.
• Excellent English communication and project‑management abilities.
