Fleet Coordinator

About the role

The Fleet Coordinator is responsible for managing EDGE Group's vehicle fleet and driver workforce in Abu Dhabi. The role ensures safe, compliant, and cost‑efficient fleet operations by handling driver scheduling, vehicle maintenance, fuel management and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Schedule and dispatch logistics and administrative drivers, maintain daily rosters and shift handovers.
• Maintain a live fleet register with vehicle details, mileage and service history; coordinate preventive maintenance and repairs with approved garages.
• Track and approve fuel spend per vehicle, monitor consumption anomalies and control operating costs.
• Ensure compliance with UAE road transport regulations and internal HSE policies; keep audit‑ready documentation for licenses, certificates and incident reports.
• Produce daily, weekly and monthly reports on fleet performance, driver status and KPI targets for the Logistics Manager.

Required profile

• 4–5 years of experience in fleet coordination, transport management or logistics operations.
• Working knowledge of UAE traffic and transport regulations and vehicle compliance requirements.
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business Administration or a related field.
• Proven ability to manage vendor relationships with garages, insurers and fuel/telematics providers.

Required skills

• Experience with fleet management/GPS systems (e.g., GPS tracking).
• Familiarity with fuel card platforms for fuel spend monitoring.
• Use of fleet management software for vehicle registration, maintenance scheduling and reporting.
