Food & Drinks Supervisor - Bull & Bear

About the role

The Food & Drinks Supervisor at Waldorf Astoria Dubai International Financial Centre oversees the day-to-day operations of Bull & Bear lunch and dinner service, ensuring smooth service delivery, strong team performance and an exceptional dining experience. The role is centred on the restaurant's distinctive dining environment and the hotel's Forbes Five-Star service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of service delivery in your section, anticipate guests' needs and follow service sequences consistently and efficiently
• Know menus and daily specials well enough to advise guests on dishes, ingredients, portion sizes and beverages
• Treat food allergies and dietary requirements seriously, and contribute to revenue targets through upselling
• Communicate with the culinary and bar teams so orders are correct, well presented and delivered on time
• Carry out customer satisfaction checks, resolve complaints promptly and support your team
• Support, train and develop your team, give informative shift briefings, assign daily tasks and supervise performance
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and hygiene regulations, keep the section clean and tidy, and record transactions accurately in the POS system
• Assist with inventory monitoring and restocking, and give feedback to the F&D leadership team

Required profile

• Previous food and drinks experience in a luxury environment
• Commitment to exceptional customer service, excellent communication skills and flexibility across different situations
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent grooming standards
• Advantageous: experience in a premium steakhouse or upscale, wine-focused venue; solid knowledge of luxury and Forbes Five-Star service standards; degree or diploma in Hotel Management or a related field; at least one year of supervisory experience
