Food Safety Officer

About the role

The Food Safety Officer ensures a safe and secure environment across the hotel property, supporting guests and staff while maintaining compliance with health, safety and alcohol regulations. This role combines security patrols, emergency response, and safety inspections to protect people and assets.

Key responsibilities

• Patrol all areas of the property, secure rooms and assist guests with access.
• Conduct emergency response drills, daily hazard and safety inspections, and investigations.
• Monitor CCTV and alarm systems, authorize and document access to secured areas.
• Respond to accidents, provide first aid/CPR, and coordinate with EMS as needed.
• Gather information, complete confidential reports and defuse disturbances according to company policy.
• Escort unwelcome persons, enforce alcoholic beverage control laws, and support employee training and coaching.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 2 years of related work experience in safety or security.
• Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow company policies.

Required skills

• Proficiency in CCTV monitoring and alarm system operation.
• Experience conducting key‑control audits.
• First aid and CPR certification.
