Foreman – Chiller Maintenance

About the role

The Foreman – Chiller Maintenance is responsible for supervising and executing preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance of water‑cooled and air‑cooled chillers and associated plant equipment, ensuring safe and efficient operation in line with manufacturer recommendations and site HSE requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and supervise routine preventive maintenance (PM) of chillers, pumps, cooling towers, expansion tanks and related piping networks.
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical and control‑related faults, monitoring parameters such as suction/discharge pressure, superheat, subcooling, oil levels and temperature differentials.
• Carry out compressor overhauls, including dismantling, inspection, part replacement, reassembly, alignment, vacuuming, oil charging and recommissioning.
• Supervise refrigerant recovery, leak detection, pressure testing and gas charging activities.
• Coordinate chiller shutdowns and startups to minimise operational disruption.
• Maintain accurate service reports, maintenance logs and spare‑part consumption records.
• Ensure safety compliance through permit‑to‑work procedures and toolbox talks for the team.
