Forward Deployed Engineer - AI Automation Delivery

About the role

Beam AI builds self-learning AI agents and an organisational operating system. As a Forward Deployed Engineer you sit at the intersection of AI, product and customer success, owning the full lifecycle of automation delivery from discovery through deployment. You work directly with enterprise clients to turn complex workflows into scalable, AI-powered solutions using Beam's Agent OS, spending your time in client conversations, prompt engineering, workflow decomposition, integration planning and close collaboration with product and engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with enterprise customers to identify automation opportunities, gather requirements and translate business problems into agent-powered solutions.
• Design and build agentic automations: scope workflows, engineer prompts and configure integrations.
• Manage delivery end-to-end, including timelines, client expectations and stakeholder communication across technical and executive audiences.
• Troubleshoot and iterate on live automations by diagnosing issues, refining prompts and improving performance.
• Collaborate with product and engineering to scope features, surface platform gaps and feed customer insights back into the roadmap.
• Advise clients strategically on AI adoption, workflow automation best practices and integration architecture.

Required profile

• 2-3 years in a client-facing technical role such as Solutions Engineer, Implementation Consultant, Deployment Engineer or Customer Engineer.
• Demonstrated prompt engineering expertise, with prompts written, tested and optimised in production or near-production settings.
• Experience automating real business processes with AI, beyond sandbox experimentation.
• Solid API knowledge and integration experience.
• Analytical, process-driven thinking and strong project management and communication skills.
