FPS Engineer

About the role

Azizi is seeking an experienced FPS Engineer to lead fire protection system activities on High Voltage (HV) Substation projects in the UAE. You will ensure that all fire protection works meet DEWA standards, NFPA codes, and project specifications while supporting the delivery of high‑quality, safe infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and supervise fire protection system (FPS) works for HV Substation projects.
• Review and coordinate MEP and fire protection design drawings to ensure compliance with DEWA standards and project requirements.
• Oversee installation, testing, commissioning, and pre‑commissioning activities for fire protection systems.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal project teams to ensure smooth execution.
• Ensure compliance with UAE authority regulations, DEWA standards, NFPA codes, and project specifications.
• Prepare technical reports, method statements, material submittals, and inspection requests.
• Monitor site progress, quality, safety, and adherence to project timelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in fire protection systems within the UAE.
• Mandatory experience on DEWA High Voltage (HV) Substation projects.
• Strong knowledge of fire alarm, firefighting, and suppression systems.
• Hands‑on experience in design coordination, installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Familiarity with DEWA regulations and authority approvals is preferred.
