Fraud Specialist

About the role

This position is based in the United Arab Emirates and focuses on protecting a fast‑growing digital marketplace from fraudulent activity. You will work closely with product, data, and engineering teams to detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, ensuring a safe experience for users worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor marketplace activity to identify suspicious behavior and prevent fraudulent transactions.
• Analyze data to uncover fraud patterns, emerging risks, and potential attack methods.
• Investigate escalated fraud cases and recommend actions based on risk assessments.
• Collaborate with product, data, and engineering teams to improve detection and prevention systems.
• Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and alerts for ongoing fraud monitoring.
• Contribute to fraud prevention policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.
• Identify vulnerabilities and suggest improvements to strengthen platform security.

Required profile

• Previous experience in fraud prevention, risk operations, trust & safety, fintech, e‑commerce, or marketplace environments.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a detail‑oriented mindset.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent communication skills in English.

Required skills

• Familiarity with fraud monitoring tools.
• Knowledge of anomaly detection methods and rule‑based risk systems.
