Front Desk Agent - Arabic Speaker

About the role

Kempinski is hiring a Front Desk Agent who speaks Arabic for its Rooms Division, Front Office & Guest Services department in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The agent checks guests in and out in a friendly, caring way following Kempinski procedures and standards, and plays a key part in the first and last impressions guests receive of the hotel. Key responsibilities

• Check in arriving guests and check out departing guests, registering guests and assigning rooms, accommodating special requests where possible and helping guests complete registration cards
• Use suggestive selling to promote rooms and other hotel services, verify payment methods and follow credit-checking procedures or refer cash payments to cashiers
• Process check-out, ask about last-minute charges, receive payment, settle accounts and give guests a copy of the invoice
• Handle front office cashier transactions such as posting charges and exchanging foreign currency, and balance the cash float at the end of the shift
• Answer guest requests and questions by phone or in person, including issuing safe deposit boxes, handling messages and dealing with complaints, and refer matters to the right people
• Coordinate room status updates with housekeeping on late check-outs, early check-ins and special requests
• Stay informed of products, services, daily and meeting activities and keep a working knowledge of room reservation procedures
• Maintain a neat working area

Required profile

• Minimum of 1 to 2 years' experience in a similar position, preferably in an international, luxury five-star hotel
• Excellent communication skills in both English and Arabic
