Full-Time Lifeguard – Dubai

About the role

Le Méridien Dubai Marina is looking for a dedicated full‑time Lifeguard to ensure the safety and enjoyment of guests using the hotel’s swimming facilities. The successful candidate will monitor swimmers, respond quickly to emergencies, and help maintain a clean, welcoming pool environment that reflects the brand’s high standards.

Key responsibilities

• Use appropriate rescue techniques to assist swimmers in distress and provide immediate first‑aid care until emergency services arrive.
• Continuously observe the pool area for hazardous conditions, unsafe activities, and guests who appear to be struggling, taking proactive steps to prevent incidents.
• Enforce and promote the facility’s rules and regulations, ensuring all guests understand and follow safety guidelines.
• Assist injured guests, offering support and comfort while waiting for medical personnel, and document incidents accurately.
• Maintain pool deck cleanliness by folding, stacking towels, and performing regular washing, mopping, and general housekeeping duties.
• Report accidents, injuries, and any unsafe work conditions to the manager promptly, and complete required safety training and certifications.
• Uphold professional appearance, greet guests courteously, and address service needs with a friendly attitude.
• Inspect pool equipment and tools for defects, and move swiftly to respond to any operational issues.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required.
• No prior lifeguarding or related work experience is necessary; training will be provided.
• No supervisory experience is expected for this entry‑level position.

Required skills

• Current CPR certification demonstrating ability to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
• Valid First Aid certification to provide basic medical assistance.
• Any additional certification or training required by local or state authorities for pool safety.
