Gas Specialist – Fuel Gas Systems Expert

About the role

Act as the technical advisor for gas specialist and fuel gas systems during developer bid reviews and RFP/specification preparation. Lead technical due diligence, verify compliance with project and offtaker requirements, identify risks, prepare clarifications, support technical evaluation and contribute to contract schedules and negotiation support.

Key responsibilities

• Review and comment on developer bids, RFPs and technical specifications related to fuel gas systems.
• Conduct technical due diligence, assess compliance with standards and project requirements, and document deviations.
• Prepare clarification responses, support technical evaluation committees, and assist in drafting contract schedules.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• Professional registration, chartership or OEM/utility/off‑taker experience preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in fuel gas systems for power plants, oil & gas or IPP projects, including technical advisory or EPC design review.

Required skills

• Fuel gas receiving, conditioning, pressure‑reducing and metering stations, filtration and heating.
• Gas quality analysis, Wobbe index calculation, gas chromatography, purge/vent systems, hazardous‑area classification, and gas compressors where applicable.
• Knowledge of API, ASME B31.3/B31.8, NFPA, IECEx/ATEX principles, ISO gas measurement standards and OEM fuel‑gas requirements.
• Ability to read and comment on IPP/PPA/EPC technical schedules, guarantees, LD‑linked performance clauses, interface obligations and acceptance testing requirements.
