Gas Turbine Cleanline Operator

About the role

Sulzer is looking for a Gas Turbine Cleanline Operator to join its Gas Turbine Service Centre in Abu Dhabi (KEZAD). The role supports the cleaning, preparation and processing of gas turbine, compressor, pump and steam turbine components within the workshop.

Key responsibilities

• Clean gas turbine, compressor, pump and steam turbine components.
• Operate chemical cleaning tanks and cleaning equipment, and perform grit blasting and vapor blasting.
• Carry out manual cleaning and preparation of components.
• Operate ball burnishing and surface treatment equipment.
• Support inspection and repair teams by preparing components to the required standards.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area and follow company quality, safety and environmental procedures.
• Handle, move and prepare components safely using approved workshop practices, and support disassembly, cleaning, inspection and assembly teams.
• Maintain work areas, equipment and tooling, complete cleaning records, route cards and workshop documentation, and report quality concerns, damaged components or process deviations to supervision.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of workshop efficiency, quality and productivity.
• Wear and maintain appropriate PPE when handling chemicals, blasting equipment and rotating equipment, and ensure safe handling, storage and disposal of cleaning agents and consumables.

Required profile

• Experience in a workshop, manufacturing, maintenance, overhaul, production or industrial environment.
• Ability to follow technical instructions, standard operating procedures and safety requirements.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Team player with a flexible and proactive approach.

Required skills

• Able to safely use hand tools, workshop equipment and cleaning machinery.
• Knowledge of health, safety and environmental requirements.
