General Accountant – Full‑Time in Dubai

About the role

We are looking for a General Accountant to join a Dubai‑based travel company with over 20 years of experience. The role involves full‑cycle accounting with a strong focus on accounts receivable and payable in a high‑volume online environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end accounting processes, including invoicing, collections, supplier payments and ageing reports.
• Reconcile high‑volume online transactions such as bookings, refunds, commissions and payment‑gateway records.
• Perform bank, customer and supplier reconciliations and resolve discrepancies between the online platform and accounting records.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities, journal entries, accruals, pre‑payments and VAT documentation using Odoo/ERP/CRM systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related field.
• 3–5+ years of hands‑on experience in AR and AP, preferably in e‑commerce, online travel portals or similar high‑transaction environments.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Odoo or comparable ERP/CRM accounting systems.
• Advanced Excel for reporting and data reconciliation.
