General Accountant – Hospitality Holding Group (Dubai)

About the role

The Holding Group operating in the hospitality sector is looking for a General Accountant to join its finance team in Dubai. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing daily accounting transactions, and supporting the preparation of comprehensive financial reports for the group and its subsidiaries.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded, classified and reconciled accurately.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, monitor aging, and resolve billing issues.
• Manage multi‑entity AP functions, review supporting documentation, and coordinate payments.
• Prepare and reconcile bank transfers, payments and weekly bank balances.
• Produce monthly, quarterly, semi‑annual and annual financial reports, dashboards and presentations for the CFO, including consolidated financial statements.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow monitoring and the preparation of the consolidated annual budget.
• Support compliance with bank covenants, regulatory requirements and UAE VAT regulations.
• Coordinate audit activities across all entities and respond to ad‑hoc analysis requests.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CMA, CA) is an advantage.
• Minimum 7 years of accounting experience in a holding group, investment or hospitality environment, working across multiple entities.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and UAE VAT regulations.
• Ability to work independently in a complex, deadline‑driven environment.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP/accounting software such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Odoo, Zoho or QuickBooks.
• Proficiency in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Working knowledge of UAE VAT regulations.
