General Accountant – Jewelry Company

About the role

We are looking for a highly organized and proactive General Accountant to manage the full spectrum of accounting and financial operations for our growing jewelry business in Abu Dhabi. The role also supports inventory control, exhibition budgeting, and business reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and manage the complete accounting cycle (AP, AR, bank reconciliations, general ledger).
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Reconcile and update inventory records, track jewelry stock movements, and upload data into accounting and inventory systems.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns, ensuring compliance with UAE tax regulations.
• Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants and regulatory authorities.
• Process payroll and maintain employee‑related financial records.
• Assist in budgeting, cash‑flow forecasting and financial administration of local and international exhibitions.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience; experience in jewelry, luxury retail or trading is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and accounting standards.
• High level of integrity, accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting software.
• Experience with inventory management systems.
