General Cashier Cum Paymaster

About the role

The Paymaster / General Cashier will manage payroll processing and all cash transactions for a 5‑star hotel, ensuring accuracy, security and compliance with financial policies.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and process monthly payroll, verify salaries, overtime, deductions and bonuses.
• Maintain payroll records and coordinate with P&C on attendance, leaves and settlements.
• Receive, verify and record daily cash collections from hotel outlets and prepare bank deposits.
• Maintain general cashier float, petty cash and reconcile cash receipts with Front Office and F&B reports.
• Ensure strict adherence to internal controls, safeguard cash and support internal and external audits.
• Prepare daily cash reports and assist the Chief Accountant with financial reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar hospitality role.
• Strong numerical accuracy, integrity and ability to handle confidential information.

Required skills

• Experience with payroll systems and cash handling procedures.
• Familiarity with hotel management systems such as Opera, Sun System, Micros; knowledge of Paytrax is a plus.
