General Civil Technician

About the role

The General Civil Technician will inspect, maintain, repair and improve all civil, structural, architectural and finishing elements of the Hyatt Place Dubai hotel. The role ensures a safe, functional and aesthetically pleasing environment for guests and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance and respond promptly to maintenance requests.
• Repair walls, ceilings, flooring and architectural finishes, including plastering, painting, tiling, waterproofing and carpentry.
• Conduct inspections, report structural concerns and respond to emergencies such as water ingress or flooding.
• Follow health, safety, fire and environmental procedures and use PPE correctly.
• Maintain professional guest interactions and minimise disruption during works.

Required profile

• Diploma, ITI, trade certification or equivalent in civil engineering, building maintenance, masonry, carpentry or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience as a general or civil technician, preferably in hotels, resorts or large facilities.
• Experience with hotel or commercial building maintenance is an advantage.
