General Hotel Manager – Sharjah

About the role

The General Hotel Manager for Occidental Sharjah Grand will be responsible for overall operational success, financial performance, and guest satisfaction, ensuring alignment with Barceló Hotel Group standards and objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all hotel departments—including Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Sales & Marketing, Engineering, and HR—to guarantee seamless operations and exceptional guest experiences.
• Develop and implement strategic plans, budgets, and forecasts to achieve financial targets, maximize profitability, and improve operational efficiency.
• Monitor key performance indicators, market trends, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
• Maintain high standards of service, quality, and cleanliness, addressing guest feedback promptly.
• Lead, motivate, and develop a high‑performing team while fostering employee engagement and retention.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, company policies, and health and safety standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s a plus).
• 8‑10 years of progressive leadership experience in hotel operations, including 3‑5 years as General Manager of a full‑service hotel.
• Proven track record of meeting financial targets and enhancing guest satisfaction.
• Strong understanding of hotel departmental interdependencies and the Sharjah/UAE hospitality market (desirable).

Required skills

• Proficiency with hotel property management systems (PMS).
• Experience using revenue management software.
• Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills.
