General Ledger Officer

About the role

The General Ledger Officer will manage core accounting activities for the Abu Dhabi Airports Group, ensuring accurate financial records and compliance with IFRS and internal policies. This role supports month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closing processes and contributes to the overall integrity of the group’s financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review accruals, manual journal entries and sub‑ledger postings.
• Perform account and bank reconciliations with proper documentation.
• Analyze and maintain balance‑sheet and P&L accounts, including related schedules.
• Support monthly, quarterly and year‑end closing activities for the group.
• Assist in budget preparation and forecasting for the Finance Department.
• Prepare and review standalone, subsidiary and consolidated financial statements and disclosures.
• Ensure compliance with ADA policies, IFRS/IAS, local tax regulations and delegation of authority requirements.
• Manage opening and closing of GL periods and coordinate consolidation activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar GL accounting role.
• Experience in the aviation industry is preferred, with at least 2 years in that sector.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and local accounting standards.
