General Manager – Life Sciences & Research Peptides

About the role

The client, an emerging life sciences company in Dubai, seeks an entrepreneurial General Manager to launch and scale a premium research‑grade peptides and scientific products distribution business across the GCC.

Key responsibilities

• Lead full business setup: company formation, licensing, regulatory approvals, recruitment and operational infrastructure.
• Develop and execute a five‑year strategy covering market positioning, revenue growth, profitability and regional expansion.
• Identify and qualify international peptide manufacturers, negotiate strategic sourcing agreements and build a premium product portfolio.
• Build commercial channels through institutional sales, B2B digital distribution and strategic partnerships.
• Own P&L, revenue, margins, EBITDA, cash flow and working capital; report performance directly to the Chairman.
• Recruit, lead and develop a high‑performing team and establish operational processes.

Required profile

• 12–15+ years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in senior commercial leadership or general management.
• Strong background in research peptides, biotechnology, life sciences, pharmaceutical ingredients or specialty scientific distribution.
• Proven track record of establishing, launching or scaling businesses with full P&L accountability.
• Established international manufacturer and sourcing relationships; deep knowledge of the UAE and GCC life sciences market.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with commercial acumen, financial discipline and ability to operate independently in a start‑up environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; MBA advantageous.
