General Manager – Restaurant Operations

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic General Manager to lead the WAKA Restaurant at Sofitel Al Hamra Beach Resort in Ras Al‑Khaimah. The role involves overseeing daily operations, driving guest satisfaction, and ensuring the restaurant meets its financial and brand objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures, to guarantee smooth service delivery.
• Supervise, train and motivate a diverse team, handling scheduling, performance reviews and disciplinary actions.
• Control food costs, labor expenses and overall budget to maximise profitability.
• Maintain inventory levels, coordinate with suppliers and oversee ordering of food and beverage supplies.
• Implement health, safety and sanitation standards in line with local regulations and company policies.
• Address customer concerns promptly and develop strategies to increase revenue and market share.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of proven experience in restaurant or hospitality outlet management.
• Strong leadership and staff supervision abilities with a focus on professional development.
• Excellent customer‑service orientation and communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus.
• Solid understanding of financial management, budgeting and cost‑control principles.
• Experience working in multicultural environments and familiarity with UAE hospitality standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency with restaurant management systems and point‑of‑sale (POS) technology.
• Inventory management and supplier coordination expertise.
