General Mechanic for Hotel Property Vehicles

About the role

The General Mechanic is responsible for routine maintenance of the hotel’s property vehicles, including engineering trucks, shuttle vans and electric carts. The role also includes upkeep of tools, equipment, and maintenance inventory while ensuring compliance with safety and company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Check oil, fluid levels, tire pressure/wear, charge batteries and replace spark plugs on all property vehicles.
• Perform preventative maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.
• Maintain accurate daily logs of operations, maintenance activities, test results and equipment malfunctions.
• Requisition parts and supplies as needed and keep proper inventory records.
• Follow all safety, security and company policies; report hazards, accidents or injuries promptly.

Required profile

• Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree.
• At least 2 years of related work experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No specific license or certification required.

Required skills

• Vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil checking, fluid level inspection, tire pressure measurement, battery charging and spark plug replacement.
• Preventative maintenance of tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.
