General Practitioner – Emergency Experience

About the role

We are seeking a qualified General Practitioner with solid experience in emergency care to join our multidisciplinary team at NMC Healthcare in Abu Dhabi. The role involves delivering high‑quality primary care, making rapid clinical decisions, and coordinating patient referrals within a fast‑paced hospital environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assess patients presenting with acute symptoms, review medical history and determine appropriate treatment plans.
• Make swift, evidence‑based decisions in emergency situations, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes.
• Refer patients to specialists or consultants as required, facilitating seamless continuity of care.
• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date patient records in accordance with hospital protocols.
• Respond promptly to patient inquiries and complaints, providing clear information and follow‑up.
• Collaborate with nursing and allied health staff to deliver coordinated care and share clinical knowledge.
• Adhere to clinical guidelines, infection control standards and hospital policies.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and report any non‑compliance issues.

Required profile

• Medical degree with valid licensing to practice as a General Practitioner in the UAE.
• Demonstrated experience in emergency or acute care settings.
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills and a patient‑centred approach.
• Commitment to continuous learning and teamwork.
