General Technician – HVAC, Plumbing & Electrical

About the role

AccorHotel is looking for a versatile General Technician to join the Novotel & Adagio Premium Dubai Al Barsha team. You will ensure the hotel’s facilities run smoothly by maintaining HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting and kitchen equipment, providing a safe and comfortable environment for guests and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance checks on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting and kitchen equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair issues promptly to minimise downtime.
• Assist with installation, setup and calibration of new equipment and systems.
• Conduct regular inspections and implement safety measures to comply with regulations.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests efficiently under pressure.
• Develop and follow preventive maintenance schedules for all technical systems.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
• Provide technical support and basic training to staff on equipment operation.
• Interact professionally with guests when addressing maintenance requests in rooms or public areas.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth facility operations and guest satisfaction.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC and mechanical systems in commercial facilities.
• Proven experience performing routine maintenance tasks and inspections.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and protocols governing facility operations.
• Ability to install, configure and calibrate equipment according to manufacturer specifications.
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication and organisational skills.
• Physical capability to lift heavy equipment and work in various positions.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications are a plus.
