Geosteering Engineer (Reservoir Navigation)

About the role

The Geosteering Engineer provides professional reservoir navigation and geosteering support to ensure drilling operations meet well prognosis and client specifications. The role involves pre‑job modeling, real‑time drilling guidance, and post‑well analysis to optimise borehole placement.

Key responsibilities

• Perform pre‑job feasibility studies, 2D interpretation and modeling for reservoir navigation.
• Monitor real‑time drilling data, deliver interpretation and directional decisions during the drilling phase.
• Conduct end‑of‑well analysis, produce recommendations and ensure QA deliverables for the client.
• Liaise with drilling services, client G&G, and completions teams to integrate geosteering plans.
• Supervise office‑based 2D geosteering operations and manage special projects as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Geosciences or a related earth‑science discipline.
• Minimum 6 years of drilling‑service experience, including 5+ years with an oil company or well‑logging service.
• At least 2 years experience as an LWD, Wireline or Log Analysis engineer.
