Global Cloud Engineer – 24/7 On‑site Support

About the role

We are seeking a Cloud Engineer to join a global cloud expansion program delivered by a leading cloud provider and a top‑tier ICT solutions partner. The role is based on‑site at a data‑center and offers exposure to large‑scale, multi‑cloud environments across more than 50 countries.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 on‑site support, responding immediately to incidents at the data‑center.
• Manage incident lifecycle: identify, troubleshoot, and restore services, coordinating with internal teams and cloud vendors (Alibaba Cloud, Tencent Cloud).
• Maintain and optimise monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix and the ELK stack; perform root‑cause analysis and preventive actions.
• Execute routine operations including system patching, software updates, backup verification and configuration changes under strict change‑management procedures.
• Conduct capacity planning and resource inspections (CPU, memory, storage, network) and produce optimisation reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Network Engineering, Information Security or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience in cloud operations or DevOps.
• Strong understanding of ITIL processes and enterprise operation standards.
• Professional proficiency in English; Chinese language skills may be required for some projects.
• Possession of an advanced cloud vendor certification (e.g., Alibaba Cloud ACP/ACE, Tencent Cloud TCP, AWS Solutions Architect – Professional) or ability to pass the vendor technical interview.

• Linux administration (CentOS, Ubuntu) and Shell scripting.
• Containers and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes.
• Monitoring: Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix, ELK stack.
• Networking: TCP/IP, VLAN, OSPF; Nginx, MySQL, firewall configuration, vulnerability scanning.
