Global Director of Wellbeing

About the role

The Global Director of Wellbeing will shape and commercialise Soneva’s wellbeing portfolio across its flagship resorts in the Maldives and corporate hub in Dubai. Reporting to the COO and working closely with the CCO, this senior leader will embed a holistic wellbeing experience throughout the guest journey, far beyond traditional spa services.

Key responsibilities

• Co‑develop the overall wellbeing strategy with the COO and CCO.
• Translate strategy into differentiated propositions for Soneva Fushi, Soneva Jani and Soneva Secret.
• Design and implement a commercial model covering revenue, margin, participation, utilisation and repeat‑engagement targets.
• Define programming architecture across studios, villas, outdoor spaces, dining, movement, sleep, recovery, family and nature experiences.
• Collaborate with resort leadership, operations, sales, marketing and F&B to ensure operational viability.
• Establish the operating structure, roles, capability standards and performance measures.
• Lead cross‑functional teams, wellbeing festivals, practitioner networks and partnership initiatives.
• Travel 40‑50% of the time to Maldives resorts, international partners and the annual Soneva Soul Festival.

Required profile

• Senior leadership experience in hospitality, wellness or related luxury service sectors.
• Proven ability to develop and execute strategic, commercial wellbeing programmes.
• Strong operational insight to translate concepts into scalable, deliverable models.
• Excellent stakeholder management across multiple functional areas.
• Willingness to travel extensively and work across multiple resort locations.
