Global Relationship Manager Business Director

About the role

The Global Relationship Manager Business Director will lead the management and development of a portfolio of funds and sovereign wealth funds for Intesa Sanpaolo in Abu Dhabi. Reporting to senior management, you will be responsible for driving profitability, revenue growth and risk management while delivering tailored banking solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure commercial performance, profitability, sales and risk targets for the assigned portfolio in line with bank guidelines.
• Act as the primary contact for portfolio clients, coordinating with Relationship Managers and internal product specialists.
• Identify client needs and promote investment banking and commercial banking products, collaborating with Global Strategic Coverage and specialist units.
• Support Relationship Managers in sales initiatives, ensuring compliance with operational processes and regulations.

Required profile

• 5‑10 years of experience in a similar relationship management or business development role within banking.
• Strong knowledge of bank products and services.
• Understanding of credit risk.
• Excellent communication and commercial acumen.
