Global Skills Teacher (Online) – International GCSE

About the role

Join 8billionideas as an online Global Skills Teacher, delivering live lessons and mentoring International GCSE students. You will be the regular face students see each week, guiding them through project‑based learning and ensuring their progress.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging live online lessons and small‑group mentor sessions.
• Provide 1:1 mentoring, clarify briefs, assessment objectives and coursework expectations.
• Monitor attendance, engagement and progress, intervening early when support is needed.
• Give clear, constructive feedback on student work.
• Serve as the first point of contact for students and parents on learning queries.
• Support assessment and moderation in line with OxfordAQA requirements.
• Collaborate with the Head of Education to shape programme delivery.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher with experience teaching secondary‑aged students.
• Confident leading live online lessons and small‑group sessions.
• Strong understanding of teaching, learning and assessment.
• Clear, friendly communicator with students and parents.
• Organised, reliable and quick to adopt new technology.

Required skills

• British teaching qualification (QTS or PGCE) strongly preferred.
• Experience with online or blended teaching and GCSE coursework is a plus.
