Government Relations Officer – UAE National Only

About the role

The Government and Regulatory Officer will manage and respond to requests from courts, police, public prosecution and other authorities across the UAE and Qatar. The role ensures that all cases – whether from customers or non‑customers – are processed accurately, compliantly and within defined service levels.

Key responsibilities

• Process UAE court orders in line with approved procedures.
• Handle Qatar court orders and law‑enforcement agency requests within SLA targets.
• Manage police letters and enquiries across all UAE emirates.
• Deal with public prosecution and CID correspondence in the UAE.
• Monitor and respond to email enquiries from government entities.
• Execute case processing through the Velocity‑MOFT system where applicable.
• Ensure all communications comply with regulatory instructions and internal policies.
• Track, coordinate and follow up on assigned cases to guarantee timely closure.
• Support initiatives that improve operational efficiency and service quality.
• Coordinate with internal Mashreq stakeholders and external regulators or support teams.
• Perform other duties as assigned by line management.

Required profile

• UAE national with thorough knowledge of UAE and Qatar legal and regulatory frameworks.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under strict compliance requirements.
• Excellent written communication skills for handling official correspondence.
• Proactive in monitoring case progress and meeting service level agreements.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with internal departments and external authorities.

Required skills

• Experience using the Velocity‑MOFT system for case processing.
