Graduate - Digital Solutions, Data Science & Analytics (UAE Nationals)

About the role

AECOM is recruiting a graduate for its 24-month Advance graduate programme in Dubai, working with Buildings & Places and Urbanism & Planning teams on data analytics, digital solutions and simulation modelling. The role is fully NAFIS eligible and AECOM manages GPSSA registration and contributions. Only UAE nationals with a family book are considered, in line with UAE labour law.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage spatial and non-spatial datasets for planning, infrastructure, transportation, sustainability and master planning projects.
• Use GIS platforms for spatial analysis, mapping, site suitability, catchment and demographic studies.
• Build, maintain and automate dashboards and reports with Power BI, Tableau or similar tools.
• Run data analysis and predictive modelling, and build simulation models for urban growth, mobility, population, land use, environmental impact and asset performance.
• Integrate data from GIS databases, BIM models, IoT sensors, surveys and external providers.
• Identify digital transformation opportunities and collaborate with planners, architects, engineers and sustainability specialists.
• Prepare reports, maps, dashboards and presentations, and ensure data quality and governance.
• Support Digital Twin, Smart City and CIM initiatives where applicable.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, GIS or a related field, graduated 2024 onwards.
• Understanding of digital solutions, data analytics, GIS, simulation modelling, urban analytics or smart city projects.
• Desirable: familiarity with Digital Twin, Smart Cities, CIM, BIM and digital engineering.

Required skills

• Proficiency in ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise or QGIS.
• Data visualization and business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Knowledge of Python and SQL, and database management.
• Spatial analysis, predictive modelling and simulation experience in the built environment.
