Graduate Mechanical Engineer – Dry Utilities

About the role

WSP in the Middle East is seeking a motivated and ambitious Emirati National Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join our Dry Utilities Design team in the UAE. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to gain hands‑on experience, develop technical expertise, and contribute to the successful delivery of major infrastructure projects across the UAE.

Key responsibilities

• Support the design and documentation of dry utilities systems and infrastructure projects.
• Assist in preparing drawings, design calculations, reports, and specifications under the supervision of senior engineers.
• Participate in coordination with multi‑disciplinary teams to ensure integration of mechanical designs within wider infrastructure projects.
• Conduct research and support the development of innovative, sustainable engineering solutions.
• Assist in reviewing local authority regulations and standards to ensure compliance in design outputs.
• Contribute to quality assurance processes and help maintain project documentation.
• Engage in training, workshops, and knowledge‑sharing sessions to enhance professional growth.

Required profile

• UAE National (with a valid Family Book).
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.
• Fresh graduate or up to 2 years of relevant experience.
• Strong interest in utilities design and infrastructure projects.
• Good knowledge of engineering principles, with basic understanding of design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or similar).
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with willingness to learn and adapt in a fast‑paced consultancy environment.
• Fluent in Arabic and English (spoken and written).
