Graduate Tech Safety Engineer

About the role

This graduate position offers an exciting entry point into technical safety engineering within Wood's Oil, Gas & New Energies business. You will work on high‑profile energy projects, supporting the transition to low‑carbon solutions while gaining hands‑on experience in a multinational environment.

Key responsibilities

• Identify potential hazards and implement appropriate control measures.
• Support safety assessments and risk studies for upstream and midstream projects.
• Assist senior engineers in preparing safety documentation and compliance reports.
• Ensure project activities adhere to UAE safety regulations and Wood’s internal standards.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to integrate safety considerations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the safety function.

Required profile

• UAE national with a recent graduate degree in Engineering (e.g., Chemical, Mechanical, Safety).
• Eligible to work in the United Arab Emirates.
• Strong analytical mindset and willingness to work onsite in Abu Dhabi.
• Interest in energy transition and low‑carbon technologies.
